about our Little shop
It all started when...
I've always had a passion for baking since my mum taught me how to make my first victoria sponge at home in Manchester.
Since then I have built up my skills around creating celebration cakes and the art of chocolate making, attended courses run by establishments such as Slattery's and frankly, eaten a lot of cake (all in the name of research of course).
It's always been my dream to own my own cake and coffee shop so taking over Choc-la-te was a perfect opportunity for me in 2016 and rebranding to Karen’s Little Kitchen - a personal dream come true!
Since then we have grown so much and feel like we are a part of this lovely Bolton community and look forward to seeing our regulars as well as welcoming new customer. As part of the community we were very excited to be asked to supply the cake for the new Aldi store in the town, you can find a picture of this on our cake gallery page.
I always said at the start of this adventure that I wanted to make sure my food was inclusive for all dietary requirements and as such we have vegan, vegetarian and healthy options available.
I'm really excited for the future, especially as we are starting to grow our own produce at home thanks to my ever suffering other half - you can track our progress here and very much look forward to welcoming you to our little coffee shop for a slice of cake and a natter,
